👎🏻 SINCERICIDE 👎🏻

Honest or cruel?

Once I read the word “Sincericide” somewhere, and I found the concept interesting.

It defines very well the sport practiced by those who blurt out things as if hurting other people’s feelings were amusing to them.

To me, those who go around saying, “I always speak my mind, I don’t care what others think…” seem more cruel than honest.

If you don’t value the impact of what you say – and how you say it – your human decency is seriously in question, you know.

Though I’m sure that kind of person thinks: well, this is just who I am. I am like this, and that’s it!

Well then.

If you’re so honest but don’t feel the slightest empathy for others, I’m not interested in having you around.

Because they think that empathetic people are somewhat foolish. I’ve been told in the past that I have an excess of benevolence… 😖

You can always choose: Go through life like an elephant in a china shop or walk trying not to step on everything in your path.

It’s an individual choice.

Which one do you prefer?

They say that the more noble and good a person is, the harder it is for them to see other people’s wickedness.

And the truth is, when I think about the artisans we work with, I’m delighted to see that they are noble people.

Especially the Colombians, which is why they are the majority. Their human quality, in addition to the quality and variety of Colombian craftsmanship, that speaks for itself.

Like Xiomara, who not only creates accessories that have been “best sellers” at Ohana for years but is also my friend. We travel all over Colombia together to discover more artisans.

The world is better because of people like her.

And these are the necklaces she makes:

P.S.: Xiomara will visit us in October 👏🏻 👏🏻. If you want to meet her, come to the store in Marbella during the second week of October!

P.S. 2: You’ll be able to request a personalized necklace in the colors you want!
