There is so much talent around me 💫
Look:
My niece Kira, who is very skilled with her hands and will soon make the best dental prosthetics in the world.
Daniel, my partner, who has a spatial vision and an immense talent for architecture.
My children Keko and Kenya, both with sensitivity and charisma!!! … And what an art they have!!! I’m sure they will achieve their goals in the challenging world of art because they are worth it and they are fighters!
My son Roberto, who maintains a balance between a rich spiritual life combined with great discipline in physical exercise. He loves reading and has a constant interest in learning. With that potential, he will go as far as he sets his mind to.
My sister María, who speaks I don’t even know how many languages (is it 8?), and has an extraordinary ability to read, write, and express herself in all of them, you would be amazed.
That’s just in my closest family, if I start talking about my friends, I could write a book.
So, what’s wrong with the conventional education system?
And some parents???
Well, they are willing to do anything for their children except letting them be themselves…
That needs to change.
Because each of us has come to do something different, and we have a special talent. And that cannot be measured by the same ruler 📏
I hope your children discover their talents and contribute them to this world because that’s how they will be much happier!
Speaking of talent… the artisans we gather at Ohana have that combination of technique and creativity that leads to the creation of divine pieces.
Like this handcrafted bag made using the Mawisa palm basketry technique.
Isn’t it beautiful?
Hugs,
Teresa 🌺
PS: Finding the perfect school is a challenge, let me tell you… 📍
PS2: Can you believe that we lived in Madrid and I couldn’t find a school where they knew how to guide and understand children with a lot of talent and a different way of learning!! 😫. If you have school-aged children, I wish you luck and patience.
PS3: If you work in education, congratulations if you’re one of those who understand that every student has a special talent.
