Children tell real truth…
One day, eating with the family, I dropped something on the floor and I said: “Oops, I’m so dumb!” ….
And staring at me my son Roberto said: “Nooo Mom, you are not dumb, you are beautiful, smart and sexy”… and after a short pause he asked:
…. “Mom… What’s sexy?”
He had heard it and it sounded good but he didn’t know what it meant.
Well, that.
Words have a lot of power, and if you repeat something many times, you end up believing it.
I’m not dumb❌🤪
I’m not beautiful, smart and sexy at the same time, although separately I have been and still am at some points in my life.
Or what the hell… separately and all together too!
We have to love ourselves, know that we are valuable and say it to ourselves in the mirror.
Because if we keep repeating it, we will internalise it.
The opposite of a lack of self-esteem is well-focused pride. Satisfaction for what we have achieved in life. And although we see the glass half empty, there are many things we have done well, and even the failures are what gradually bring us closer to success 👣 So let's go for it.
