You see it there in the online shop, or in the most beautiful shop in Marbella’s old town, and it doesn’t look so complex…
But look:
You go by plane to any corner of the world✈️. Yes, and in a few hours you’re on the other side of the planet.
But first, you have to decide the itinerary, book the hotels… and process the visa.
You’ve found out what the weather is going to be like and what the plugs look like.
You change money at the airport, or if it’s a rare currency, you try to find a place to get some cash before you leave, because in these parts of the world you can’t always pay with a credit card.
A lot of hours of flying. Or several flights, buses, trains or cars.
Luggage that doesn’t arrive, or having to go and buy something because it arrives, but three days later.
Hotels that are not what they seemed.
People who do wonderful things but don’t speak any of the 6 languages I speak.
You leave an order and when it arrives, sometimes it’s not exactly what you ordered😳
You go through customs, pay the duties and open the boxes impatiently, as if it were Christmas.
You unpack everything, and if anything is broken, you file a complaint with the transport agency.
You assign a reference number and a product name.
You take it to be photographed, weigh it, measure it.
You rack your brains to write a nice description for the online shop.
You translate everything into English, French and German.
You upload it to the website.
You think about how you are going to package it when it is sold🎁
You count how many have arrived.
You check the stock once more.
And many more details, which, being a perfectionist, are very many.
It sounds like torture, doesn’t it?
Well, don’t believe it… if it were like that I would stay at home.
It’s wonderful to be able to experience all that and then someone will be delighted to take it home and tell you that everything we have is super original and different 🙌🏻
So that’s it.
It was worth it. Or a joy, rather!
In total the process has taken me 8 years: Discovering and selecting the most original and beautiful has not been easy but exciting!!!!
